I need to make some changes on my WP site. For starters, I’d like the room for my blogs on my homepage to be larger so that I can have photos as well as text show up without having to force people to click “out” to read the entire blog post. I’d also like to have the text look more interesting, ie blocks of light background color (like here, though their blocks are gray: http://wp.smashingmagazine.com/2012/02/08/wordpress-theme-design-and-development-trends-for-2012/ ) and the ability to show links to YouTube, etc. Text needs to be visually more interesting, basically.

I also need to change the text on a few of the boxes on my homepage. I thought they were widgets that I could change myself, but they are hard coded and I am not a programmer.

Costumizing theme

Custumizing the thumbs for my theme, so that they are not cropped, but the same dimensions as the images they refer to. And Changing the image location a little on the front page. The theme wonÂ´t allow me these options.

WordPress Https on Shopp 1.2

I need help modifying the HTTPS plugin to help fix content partially unencrypted errors on the site, but prevent the SSL redirect loop on Shopp 1.2 plugin storefront virtual pages.

Basically I just want it to force https to fix the errors, even though Shopp already forces SSL for its new Pseudo pages. I believe they are accomplishing the cleanup by output buffering the entire page.

There’s another project after this one to create a custom plugin for recurring/billing for a continuity program. I need it to tie into the Inventory Management system, and each time a recurring billing happens it creates a new order.

Upgrade issues

1. I updated the wordpress theme to 3.3.1, suffusion theme to 3.9.6 and all my plugins yesterday, now ‘www.hh-bb.com loads ok’ but ‘hh-bb.com’ gives me this message:

2. The menu bar has moved up without permission – it should sit on that blue line below it.

3. All of my preview pics for each post have disappeared.

4. To top it off, the site is really, really sloooow. This is serious.

5. I can get to the dashboard and login area but when I click preview for any changes to a page, the new tab doesn’t display the preview, just this message:

Even if I just click update, I get a blank white page.

We have a wordpress blog and we would like to embed the whole blog within our website, on a sub page e.g. www.valuehorsetips.co.uk/blog.html. I dont want my whole website to be a blog but i want my wordpress blog embedded in the one page of my website (if that makes sense!)

Members and Directory

I am not sure how this works, but it was suggested I contact wordpress jobs.
I have tried many many plugins for members and directories.

Looking at the these plug-ins I have trouble finding a plug-in or plug-ins, which allow the community (its businesses, clubs, groups, etc.) to create each their own page and edit it. And notifies me (as webmaster) so I can moderate/approve each input (registration, page, page editing, etc). I wish to set up:
1. User registration
2. User permissions (to direct each registered user (=member) to their own post to create/edit it)
3. Notifications both to user and administrator of the processes
4. Create a public database

Extract from email sent to s2 member:
I just watched your video s2Member (Free Registration On Multiple Levels? ). My problem is that I need to allow new free members to register and go to their own specific page, where they can create/edit their material and no other member can edit/change their page. The purpose is that all members are given their own page that only they and the administrator of the site have access to. It would seem by this video that I would need to code in separately every new member after they register. Is that so? or is there an automated way I can achieve this ?

P.S. I run a community site (http://bit.ly/xMofb5). It is a free site at this stage. The idea is that community groups, businesses, etc. can become members and each has their own page.

Simple wordpress website

Hi, I’m looking for a website developer who can create a website using a platform I can make edits to myself. Possible wordpress. The website will have 3 to 5 tabs. I want it very clean and with not a lot of content so it shouldn’t take too much time to do. I have some design ideas in mind which I will send you. This is for a Marketing Firm I am opening up.
