About OneGuide
OneGuide powers portfolio resource hubs for PE and VC firms. With OneGuide, firms can centralize guides, templates, experts, vendors and peer communities to help portfolio companies grow faster. We’re a small team (6 people) but an established startup (3 years old, profitable).
From a technical standpoint, OneGuide is built on WordPress as a multisite; each of our clients has their own portfolio knowledge hub site with hundreds of member users and a few admin users. We use a combination of third-party and custom plugins.
Responsibilities
We’re looking for a full-time WordPress Developer, reporting to the Founder. Responsibilities include:
***Develop and maintain functionality
Develop and maintain custom plugins, including testing
Build and customize themes
Design and implement React components and applications that consume data from WordPress, ensuring efficient and scalable front-end experiences
Implement automated testing
Implement and manage third-party API integrations
Provide support and troubleshoot issues
***Manage our multisite network to ensure performance
Perform regular updates, optimizations, and troubleshooting for WordPress sites to ensure peak performance
Manage hosting environments, including server setup, optimization, and troubleshooting
Manage site backups
Add and remove sites from the multisite network
***Manage third-party plugins
Handle third-party plugin integration and management, ensuring compatibility and performance, working with plugin developers/support as needed
Manage settings on third party plugins
Evaluate new plugins for new use cases, and advise on “buy vs. build” decisions
Qualifications & Skills
??5+ years of professional development experience
Strong Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and React
3+ years of WordPress experience, ideally with WordPress Multisite
Familiarity with Headless WordPress and API Integration
Experience with collaborative workflows using Git, including pull requests and code reviews
Experience with Automated Testing for WordPress
Hosting and Server Management Expertise
Problem-solving and Support Skills
Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills
