We’re seeking a talented WordPress Expert to join our remote team and enhance our service offering. Join us and be part of a trustworthy, honest, and dog-loving team focused on driving our clients’ progress and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Applicants are skilled and versatile English-speaking Senior WordPress Developers with extensive experience in a support desk and project management role. This role demands proficiency in front-end and back-end development, as well as a knack for problem-solving and collaborating as a close-knit team.

Project management: timely delivery of high-quality and robust WordPress websites from start to finish.
Excellent English communication skills in client meetings and emails.
Manage support tasks using a ticketing system, providing regular progress updates and logging hours.
Lead the design and development of responsive websites using predominantly WordPress and Elementor using SEO-friendly and best practices for accessibility and usability.
Collaborate with designers, content creators, and support staff when necessary.
Provide maintenance and support for existing client websites, including updates and troubleshooting.
Assist with technical tasks such as website transfers, configuration and troubleshooting.
Develop and improve internal processes; conduct weekly departmental reviews.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to other members of the team.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in WordPress development.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP / MySQL.
Proficiency in project management.
Ability to work with external data sources and APIs.
An interest in continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologies to maximise development efficiency.
Proven experience with WordPress page builders (such as Elementor) with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.

Not Essential But Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimisation.
Knowledge of additional page builders and CMS platforms.
Working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent such as Figma.
Knowledge of A.I. building tools.
Basic knowledge of digital marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
Experience with Squarespace and/or WebFlow design and customisation.

Hours:

Monday – Friday at 9am – 5:30pm London Time (GMT/BST).
You will get a 1 hour lunch break.

Working Environment:

You will have your own computer with an adequate internet connection.
You will be connected by voice communications to the entire team during every shift (for the first 6 months) so will require a quality headset/microphone.
You can work from home or anywhere you want as long as you are not using a shared network connection (i.e. you cannot work with us using a public wifi connection due to data security).
