We’re looking for a highly organized, web-savvy collaborator to join our small but mighty team. This role blends web production, project coordination, and client communication — supporting our mission of building elegant, sustainable WordPress infrastructure for publishers, nonprofits, and mission-driven orgs.
You’ll work closely with our lead developer and strategist to help bring projects to life — managing assets, coordinating deliverables, and maintaining order in our systems.
Responsibilities:
Own day-to-day web production tasks — including placing content into WordPress, prepping assets for designers, and managing handoffs between design and dev.
Act as a point of contact for clients on certain projects: gather and organize input, clarify conflicting feedback, and surface decisions needed.
Attend client meetings when needed; take clear notes and follow up on action items.
Support our internal processes by keeping JIRA up to date and managing timelines.
Handle content and asset collection (logos, copy, photography, etc.) and track versions as they move through design and dev.
Implement pages based on designs in Figma — formatting layout, placing text/images, applying correct styles.
Collaborate with stakeholders on systematizing our client experience and delivering consistent results across projects.
Requirements:
Familiarity with WordPress and the Gutenberg/Block editor (or very quick to learn — you don’t need to be a dev, but you should feel comfortable moving around a CMS).
Basic understanding of web layout principles and ability to implement visual designs.
Strong written and verbal communication — you’ll be client-facing.
Excellent organization and time management — self-driven, detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple moving pieces.
Experience with or willingness to learn JIRA, Slack, and Google Workspace.
Comfort working with and advocating for clients — especially in ambiguous situations or when navigating feedback loops.
Nice to Have (but not required):
Familiarity with HTML/CSS
Familiarity with Figma, Trello, Asana, or other project/design tools.
Experience in publishing, nonprofit, or media landscapes.
Past work as a VA, web producer, or junior PM.
Details:
Remote position (U.S. time zone strongly preferred)
Part-time or freelance, 10–15 hours/week to start, with potential to grow
Flexible scheduling, but must be responsive within agreed-upon hours
Competitive hourly rate depending on experience
To Apply:
Send a brief intro note, a resume or portfolio, and a short example of how you’ve handled a complex project or tricky client request. Bonus if you include a link to something you’ve helped produce on the web. jobs@nulldigitalculture.nyc
