Remote WordPress Developer
Compensation: $80,000 â $90,000 annually

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our remote team and help build exceptional, user-friendly, and scalable websites.
Role Overview
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites. This includes creating custom themes, plugins, and optimizing site performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solution-focused, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites using custom themes and plugins.
- Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and plugins as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and content teams to execute requirements.
- Ensure website security, backups, and updates are performed regularly.
- Stay up to date with best practices, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL
- Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.)
- Understanding of SEO principles and website optimization (speed, performance).
- Experience working with Git or similar version control systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WooCommerce, membership sites, or multilingual setups.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and advanced integrations.
- Experience working with cloud hosting (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
- Understanding of UI/UX best practices.
