We’re looking for a reliable WordPress developer to support ongoing site maintenance, small updates, and occasional technical/on-page SEO execution.
We manage two WordPress sites:
- a main marketing site
- a learning site where courses are managed (generally low lift except during new course launches)
This is not a lead SEO role; however, we welcome thoughtful input and support around basic SEO strategy as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing WordPress maintenance and updates
- Small builds and content updates
- WooCommerce support (products, pricing, variations, safe updates)
- Occasional technical and on-page SEO updates when requested (meta, headings, internal links, schema via plugins)
- Clear communication and brief summaries of work completed
Workflow Expectations:
- Uses good judgment around changes that affect functionality, payments, or SEO
- Waits for approval before pushing significant changes live
- Works carefully and prioritizes site stability
Requirements:
- Strong WordPress experience
- WooCommerce experience
- Familiarity with managed WordPress hosting (WP Engine or similar)
- Comfortable making technical/on-page SEO updates (execution only)
- Clear written communication
Compensation:
- $35/hour
- 5–10 hours per month retainer
- Additional hours as needed (pre-approved)
- Initial 60-day trial period
