WordPress/Divi Maintenance Person

I’m a small business owner looking for a reliable WordPress pro to take over ongoing maintenance of my Divi-based website. This is a long-term relationship, not a one-time project — I want someone dependable who communicates clearly and is easy to reach when something needs attention.

What the retainer covers:

  • Routine site monitoring and performance checks
  • Plugin management (updates, troubleshooting, adding new ones as needed)
  • WordPress core and Divi theme updates
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • General “keep everything running smoothly” oversight

What I’m looking for in you:

  • You respond promptly and communicate in plain English (not just tech-speak)
  • You’re proactive — you flag issues before they become problems
  • You have a track record of long-term client relationships, not just one-off jobs
  • Divi experience is a plus; solid WordPress maintenance experience is a must

This is a competitive monthly retainer. Work outside the agreed scope is fine at an additional rate — I just want that clearly defined upfront.

  • Communication style: How do you typically communicate with clients — email, a client portal, something else? How quickly do you respond to non-emergency questions, and what’s your turnaround for urgent issues?
  • Reporting: Do you provide any kind of monthly report or summary of what was done on the site? If so, what does that look like?
  • Divi experience: How long have you been working with the Divi theme, and roughly how many Divi sites do you currently maintain?
  • Scope and extras: What does your standard retainer typically cover, and how do you handle requests that fall outside that scope?
  • Track record: Can you share 1–2 examples of clients you’ve maintained sites for long-term? A reference or a brief description of the relationship is fine.
  • Availability: Are you currently taking on new retainer clients, and what’s your current client load like?
  • Problem scenario: If you noticed a plugin update had broken something on my site, walk me through what you’d do — and how you’d communicate it to me.
