The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to take full ownership of Devasaa’s core web platform. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role — you will be the primary developer responsible for architecture, performance, security, UI/UX implementation, and continuous improvement of a high-traffic, production-grade WordPress environment.
This is not a ticket-closing role. We are looking for someone who thinks like an owner, takes initiative, and brings solutions to the table.

Core Responsibilities
? Development
Build and maintain custom themes, blocks, and plugins using PHP 8+, React, and Gutenberg. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
? UI/UX Implementation
Translate Figma / Adobe XD design files into pixel-perfect, fully responsive WordPress builds across all devices and screen sizes. Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to ensure design accuracy, consistency, and a seamless user experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
? E-Commerce
Manage complex WooCommerce ecosystems, including custom extension development, payment gateway integrations, and REST API connections.
? Email Setup & Administration
Configure and manage professional email environments across G Suite (Google Workspace), Microsoft 365, cPanel/hPanel Email, and SMTP relay. Handle MX record setup, SPF / DKIM / DMARC configuration, domain-linked mailbox creation, email troubleshooting, and cross-provider email migrations.
? Analytics, Tracking & Webmaster Setup
Full setup and ongoing management of:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — property setup, data streams, event tracking, goal configuration, and audience building
Google Tag Manager (GTM) — container setup, trigger/variable configuration, and tag publishing
Google Search Console — property verification, sitemap submission, index coverage monitoring, and error resolution
Bing Webmaster Tools — account setup, site verification, and sitemap submission
Meta Pixel — pixel installation, event setup, and custom conversion tracking
Microsoft Clarity — heatmap and session recording setup
Hotjar — behaviour analytics configuration
? Performance & Security
Optimize site speed via caching, CDN configuration, Core Web Vitals, and Google PageSpeed improvements. Implement rigorous security hardening, SEO best practices, and structured data markup. Conduct Lighthouse audits and apply image optimization (WebP, lazy loading).
? WordPress Plugin Management
Install, configure, customize, and maintain the full WordPress plugin ecosystem including SEO, performance, security, forms, WooCommerce extensions, membership, and LMS plugins.
? Social Media Integration
Set up and manage Open Graph and social meta tags, Facebook / Instagram feed integrations, LinkedIn and Twitter / X embeds, social sharing optimization, and social media API connections (Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter / X, Pinterest).
? Third Party Integrations
Integrate CRM platforms (HubSpot, Zoho), marketing automation tools (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo), and webhook / Zapier-based automations with WordPress environments.
? Staging & Backup Management
Maintain staging environments for all active projects, implement backup and restoration protocols, and manage safe deployments from staging to live.
? Process & Collaboration
Operate within an Agile/Scrum framework using Jira / Shortcut for sprint and task management, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Meet) for all documentation and team communication, and Slack for day-to-day collaboration.
? Accessibility & Compliance
Ensure all builds meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, GDPR compliance requirements, and technical SEO best practices.
? Maintenance (AMC)
Execute proactive Annual Maintenance Contract deliverables — including PHP version upgrades, security patching, 24/7 uptime monitoring, and database optimization.
