The Ideal Candidate: Is This You?
- You have 4+ years of experience working with WordPress, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- You’re adept at managing and optimizing WordPress websites, handling both development and troubleshooting tasks.
- You have experience with various WordPress themes and plugins, and you can customize them to fit specific needs.
- You are proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design
- You handle changes well, adapt quickly to new challenges, and are always eager to learn and grow.
- You love working within the team and believe in the power of teamwork.
- You stay updated with the latest industry trends and are always looking for ways to improve website performance and security.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Design and develop web pages using WordPress.
- Audit website quality and efficiency, making necessary improvements.
- Manage, monitor, and upgrade websites for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot website issues promptly.
- Implement appropriate security practices for website protection.
- Migrate websites between servers as needed.
- Track and maintain server health.
- Install and configure analytics and tracking scripts.
- Build and implement features using WordPress plugins.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align the website with marketing strategies.
- Work closely with the SEO team to enhance web traffic metrics.
- Conduct manual and automated testing of WordPress websites.
- Ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
- Perform regression testing before releases.
- Verify functionality, performance, and security of websites.
Skills We Are Looking For:
- Expert-level knowledge of WordPress websites, including themes, plugins, and the WordPress ecosystem.
- Experience working with page builders such as Spectra, Elementor, and Gutenberg.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Professional experience in server maintenance and implementing CDN solutions.
- Strong understanding of website security practices, including remote firewalls and on-site security.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
- Strong research skills with the ability to find and implement ways to improve website performance.
Bonus Points If You Also Have:
- Knowledge of Custom Post Types & Custom Fields.
- Experience with WooCommerce involves setting up stores, managing products, and customizing functionality.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks & libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, jQuery).
- In-depth understanding of website hosting, server management, and domain administration.
- Experience with other CMS platforms & tools (e.g., Webflow, Drupal).
- Basic graphic design skills using tools like Figma or Adobe Illustrator.
