NeeFox® – Best IT Solutions Company is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Full Stack WordPress Developer to join our expert engineering team. You are a master of the entire WordPress ecosystem, equally comfortable building a beautiful, responsive front-end as you are architecting complex back-end functionality. In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-performance, custom WordPress themes and plugins from the ground up. A Day in the Life
As a Full Stack WordPress Developer, you will tackle diverse and challenging technical tasks. Your morning might be spent developing a custom Gutenberg block with React to provide a unique content editing experience for a client. You could then switch gears to write the PHP logic for a new plugin that integrates with a third-party payment gateway via their REST API. In the afternoon, you might be tasked with debugging a complex JavaScript issue on the front-end, followed by optimizing a site’s database queries to drastically improve its load time.
Key Responsibilities
Custom Theme & Plugin Development: Architect, build, and maintain high-quality, bespoke WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, avoiding reliance on page builders.
Front-End Development: Implement pixel-perfect, responsive, and interactive user interfaces using modern HTML5, CSS3 (Sass), and JavaScript (ES6+).
Back-End Development: Write clean, efficient, and secure server-side code using PHP. Design and manage MySQL databases and leverage the WordPress REST API.
API Integration: Seamlessly integrate WordPress websites with a wide variety of third-party services, APIs, and external data sources.
Performance & Security Optimization: Proactively optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and security, following industry best practices.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Take ownership of maintaining and troubleshooting complex, existing WordPress websites, skillfully identifying and resolving bugs.
Key Responsibilities
Required (Must-Haves)
3+ years of professional experience as a dedicated WordPress Developer.
Expert-level knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
Proven, demonstrable experience in building custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch. A strong portfolio is required.
Deep understanding of the WordPress core architecture, including hooks (actions and filters), the template hierarchy, and custom post types.
Experience working with the WordPress REST API.
Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (especially React for Gutenberg development).
Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
Familiarity with web development build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp).
Hands-on experience with WooCommerce customization.
