Data Crunch (https://datacrunchcorp.com) is seeking a skilled WordPress and PHP developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will also be developing our SaaS software offerings for our clients and other development projects as they come up. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration, security updates, and other custom applications.
Data Crunch transforms data into meaningful insights that drive measurable improvements for clients. We run one of the largest ML/AI podcasts in the world averaging about 5,000 downloads per episode. Our clients come from a variety of industries from medical & pharmaceutical, financial, manufacturing, retail & eCommerce, marketing, and more.
You will be building software to help people get insight from data, optimize their websites, make their operations more efficient, and solve hard problems. Projects include predictive inventory management, dynamic natural language processing, predictive higher education software, and more.

You will start as a subcontractor with the opportunity to become an employee within your first 1-4 months.

Collaborating with the development team and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
Demonstrating expert Knowledge in PHP, WordPress, NodeJS and other core technologies
Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
Knowledge of backend technologies like PHP, Python, Node.js
Knowledge of XD or other equivalent mockup tools
Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git
Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
Ability to project manage.
Good communication skills.
Even though this position is 100% remote, it is preferred that you are located in or near the Raleigh, NC area, but this is not necessary.
