I recently published an award-winning book, Tech Agnostic: How Technology Became the World’s Most Powerful Religion, and Why it Desperately Needs a Reformation. I invested a few thousand dollars in having a site designed to promote the book and my other writing (including my NYTimes bestseller Good Without God: What a Billion Nonreligious People Do Believe) and my other work (I am the Humanist Chaplain at Harvard and MIT — like a religious advisor, but for atheists and agnostics…this may sound fancy but do keep in mind I’m NOT paid by Harvard or MIT, but rather I’m affiliated with those universities as a credentialed volunteer and am paid as a part time contractor for a small nonprofit that supports the work).
Anyway, I had a site done (GregMEpstein.com) but the designer couldn’t continue, and she designed the WP in such a way that it’s too complicated for me to update all of the text and images myself.
I’m looking for an experienced WordPress person who perhaps makes a living by maintaining a large number of websites, or at least who doesn’t mind taking me on as a very part time client. I’m happy to pay a healthy, competitive hourly rate, perhaps with a retainer for a certain minimum number of hours, or let me know how you’d prefer to structure the gig. Ideally it would be someone who finds my work interesting and valuable! Not as an excuse for me to get out of paying a living wage, lol, but just because I’m a big believer in meaningful community (and because I can’t pay **TOP** top dollar).
