What We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for an exceptional Senior WordPress Developer who is deeply passionate about WordPress beyond just installing themes and plugins. If you’ve spent years mastering the core of WordPress, building custom plugins, themes, and creating headless CMS solutions, we’d love to talk to you. This role requires technical depth, creativity, and a builder’s mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes with clean, modular, and scalable code.
- Leverage WordPress hooks, filters, and core APIs to implement advanced features.
- Architect and build RESTful and GraphQL APIs to integrate WordPress as a headless CMS for mobile apps.
- Optimize WordPress database operations for speed and scalability.
- Collaborate with the product and design teams to deliver an exceptional user experience.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
- Ensure best practices in WordPress development, including security and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Proven track record of building custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Expertise in WordPress hooks, filters, and core functionality.
- Strong understanding of WordPress database architecture and MySQL.
- Experience building headless CMS solutions using REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Proficient in PHP, JavaScript (including modern frameworks like React or Vue), HTML, and CSS.
- Experience optimizing WordPress sites for performance and security.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with Flutter or other mobile frameworks.
- Prior experience in the e-commerce domain, especially WooCommerce.
- Contributions to the WordPress open-source community.
