Senior WordPress Developer (3-4 Years Experience) – Remote

We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and best practices. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, ensuring high performance and a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
– Work on both front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React) and back-end (PHP, MySQL) WordPress development.
– Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers to implement features and functionality.
– Ensure websites are mobile-responsive, user-friendly, and SEO-optimized.
– Perform regular site updates, security patches, and performance optimizations.
– Troubleshoot and debug issues on existing WordPress websites.
– Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress applications.
– Implement and manage eCommerce solutions (WooCommerce) where needed.
– Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, updates, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

– 3-4 years of proven experience working with WordPress (both front-end and back-end).
– Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including React and jQuery).
– Hands-on experience with WordPress themes and plugins (both custom and existing).
– Familiarity with WordPress best practices, security, and optimization techniques.
– Experience with WooCommerce for building and managing online stores.
– Ability to work with version control systems (Git).
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Experience with REST APIs, custom post types, and WP REST API.
– Comfortable working in a remote environment and with a distributed team.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Familiarity with Agile development and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).

Nice to Have:

– Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or similar.
– Familiarity with server management (e.g., cPanel, SSH, Nginx/Apache).
– Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
– Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
