We are currently seeking a Full Stack Web Developer to join our Web Development team to assist in the day to day maintenance and configuration of our WordPress sites. You will be accountable for maintaining, optimizing, deploying our customer-facing websites. Collaborating with marketers, designers and infrastructure teams you will capture requirements to build sites from concept all the way to completion.
The Day to Day
We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of WordPress. You’ve built your own themes and plugins before and you’re up-to-date with the latest and greatest trends and technologies.
You must be able to code custom modules according to coding standards and best practices.
Candidates will often be required to handle complicated backend tasks such as website migration, search customization, and web service programming. You enjoy exploring and building web experiences that push the envelope
Debug site / plugin issues
Create and manage the website back-end including database and server integration
Maintain database to optimize for site performance
Expert level experience in working with WordPress
Familiarity with the WordPress core files and what each does. Know which you can edit safely and which ones you should never touch
Understanding of the built-in and custom post types and their associated template files
Understand the concept of the WordPress theme framework and the difference between parent and child themes
Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Ability of patching WordPress, WP Plugins, MySQL , PHP and other CMS components on a monthly basis or sooner if any highly critical, actively exploited, vulnerabilities are announced
Setup periodic vulnerability scans and action on alerts and results
Full-time – Onsite (M – F) No Exceptions
Pay: $80,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
