Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Support Engineer to join our remote team. You will be the first point of contact for our users, providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring our customers have the best possible experience with Webba Booking.
All customer support is handled via Help Scout, so you’ll be working in an organized, ticket-based environment. You’ll collaborate closely with our development team to report bugs, suggest improvements, and assist with testing new releases.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and professional support to customers via Help Scout.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress, plugins, and server environments.
- Reproduce and document bugs for the development team.
- Guide customers through setup, configuration, and customization of the Webba Booking plugin.
- Write and update knowledge base articles and documentation.
- Assist in testing new features and updates before release.
Requirements
- Proven experience in WordPress support or similar technical support roles.
- Strong understanding of WordPress, PHP, HTML, React, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with debugging tools, browser dev tools, and error log analysis.
- Excellent written English and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests in a ticket system.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience with booking or scheduling plugins.
- Familiarity with MySQL and basic server administration.
- Understanding of REST APIs and integrations.
- Experience with Git and version control.
