We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to help create a website for PawRealm, the world’s largest and most innovative pet matchmaking and social platform for pet owners. The website will mirror the functionality of our mobile app and allow users to register their pets, find mates or friends for their animals, and access premium services directly from their desktop or mobile browser.
This role involves integrating various WordPress plugins to streamline core features such as pet profile creation, matchmaking, messaging, and geolocation. You will also be required to custom-code specific functions that cannot be handled by existing plugins.
You will be responsible for building a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform using WordPress, custom coding, and various integrations with third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, APIs). Additionally, you will be required to ensure seamless integration between the website and the mobile app.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain a WordPress website with functionality mirroring our mobile app.
Integrate and configure WordPress plugins for user profiles, messaging, geolocation, and payment gateways.
Customize existing plugins or create custom plugins where needed (e.g., custom matchmaking algorithms, pet registration).
Develop a secure and easy-to-use admin dashboard for managing user profiles, payments, and ads.
Optimize the website for both mobile and desktop views, ensuring responsive design across devices.
Ensure that the website follows SEO best practices and is optimized for performance and speed.
Collaborate with the app developers to ensure smooth synchronization between the website and mobile app.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in building custom WordPress websites with complex functionality.
Expertise in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with plugin customization and development.
Familiarity with WordPress APIs, WP-CLI, and other WordPress development tools.
Knowledge of plugin integration (e.g., BuddyPress, WooCommerce, WP Job Manager) and theme development.
Strong experience with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) and user membership models.
Experience with REST APIs, and JSON for integrating third-party services (e.g., mobile app).
Familiarity with database management and SQL for managing user data, subscriptions, and activity.
Experience with geolocation services, such as Google Maps API or similar.
Strong understanding of website security practices (e.g., GDPR compliance, SSL, user data protection).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with pet-related or social media platforms.
Experience with multisite WordPress installations or multi-language websites.
Familiarity with app development (Flutter/React Native) to facilitate website-app integration.
Project Duration:
Around 3 to 4 months for initial development, with opportunities for long-term updates and support.
Compensation:
