  • Collaborate asynchronously with product and design teams via Slack and Notion

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional WordPress plugin development experience
  • Expert-level PHP (OOP, namespacing, autoloading, PSR standards)
  • Strong JavaScript and jQuery; familiarity with vanilla ES6+
  • Solid understanding of WordPress hooks system (actions, filters, custom post types, taxonomies)
  • Experience with MySQL — query optimization, custom table design
  • REST API development and integration experience
  • Version control with Git (GitHub/GitLab workflows)
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in English (async)

Nice to Have

  • WooCommerce extension development
  • Experience with Gutenberg block development (React-based)
  • Familiarity with multisite WordPress setups
  • Basic DevOps — staging environments, deployment pipelines, caching layers (Redis, Varnish)
  • Experience with headless WordPress / decoupled architecture
